1. What is a parabola?

   • A parabola is a shape of a curve, where any point is at an equal distance from, a fixed point and a fixed straight line.

2. What is a vertex?

   • Where the parabola makes it sharpest turn.

3. What is the axis of symmetry?

   • It is the center of the parabola, it goes through the focus, at right angles to the directrix

4. What is the equation of a parabola?

   • y = x (squared)
