1. An input device gets the data from us what we put into and sends it to a computer system

2. Input device convert the physical movment (keypressing moving the mouse) and enviromental data (tempreture,sound and light) into elctrical signals

3. Examples of input devices are: keyboard,mouse,webcam,microphone

4. There are 2 types of input devices MANUAL and AUTOMATIC

   • examples of maunal input devices are: touchscreen,scanner,digatal camera,touchpad,joystick,concept keyboard
   • examples of automatic are: microphone,webcam,chip/pin,OCR,OMR,MICR

5. The manual input devices need a human to work them, for example a keyboard needs a human to press the keys for it to work and a mouse needs to moved to work

6. An automatic input device dosnt need humans actions to chagne data into elctric signals for example barcode readers automatically sense the barcode with the human telling it to

7. An output device displays the information that the computer gets out of the input device. They convert the electrical signals into sound,images or movment

8. Examples of output device are: screen,printer,speakers,printer,plotter,headphones

9. Speakers,headphones and docking stations are all output device that display sound.

   • Advantages;blind people can use this,presontation with sound are powerful
   • Disadvantages:headphones can be uncomfortable,speakers are not useful around other people
