1. secondary storage is devices that are not always connected to a computer

   • one disadvantage of using magnetic tape to store data is that it is slow to write and read
     • relability means; if the data is saved without an effect
       • portability means; were you can the device
         • Durability means; how long it can last
           • capacity means; how much data the device can store

2. secondary storage is needed for a computer because it has good back up, and is needed for longer storage capacity

   • secondary storage is also known as Auxillary(Storage)
     • an example of an external secondary storage is a micro chip, an example of an internal secondary storage is hard disk.
       • one disadvantage of using secondary storage are; data may not be currant, and the device could get lost.
         • a storage device for distributing a movie is; Optic
           • a storage device that could be used for distributing a movie is a DVD
             • a storage device that could be used for distributing music is; CD
     • 3 types of secondary storage are Optic, Solid state, Magnetic
