       • They hold the secrets of the mind. They are the body's communicators and constantly strike up conversations all over the brain. Coordinate thoughts, ideas, and feelings.
     • Glial cells
       • They are the glue that binds cells together.
         • Learning would not occur if neurons were isolate from each other.

2. USE IT OR LOSE IT

   • Overproduction
     • This process occurs from birth to three years old where dendrites are reproduced infinitely in the mind.
   • Pruning
     • After the overproduction occurs the elimination where the neurons survive or die.

3. UPGRADING THE HARD DRIVE

   • Hippocampus
     • It is involved in learning. It's capable to give birth to new neurons.
       • Hippocampus increases short-term memory in teenagers.

4. THE INFORMATION SUPER HIGHWAY

   • Myelin
     • It covers the axons of neurons and enables information to travel efficiently.
       • Myelin helps to use symbolism metaphors, and analogies. The adolescent is ready to create abstractly and comprehend complex theorems.

5. CATERPILLARS TO BUTTERFLIES

   • Adolescent brain is still under construction.
     • It is because teenager’s brain is growing and changing, adding grey matter and pruning unnecessary information.
   • The decisions made during adolescence affect teen’s brain for the rest of their lives.
     • Parents and teachers can not influence on adolescents. They are responsible for their future.
