1. DDos

   • someone tries to stop the user from accessing a part of the network, flooding the server with useless traffic msking the network slow

2. Active attack

   • someone attacks a network with a planed attack or malware
     • firewall is the main defence

3. Scareware

   • scares the user into thinking they have a virus and the gives them a link to "solve the problem" which then gives the ahcker access to information

4. Spyware

   • secretly monitors users actions

5. Viruses

   • someone monitors data travelling on a network and intercepts information

7. Worm

   • someone in the organisation uses their network access to get information

9. Botnet

10. Brute force attack

    • a type of active attack to get information by trial and error, automated software to predict likely passwords

11. Ransomware

    • demanding a sum of money to give or get information or files back
