1. Vacuum Tubes are usually, electricity requires a conductor, such a wire, to travel from one place to another.

       • The hardware of a single computer can perform many diferrent tasks composin a research paper, producing an illustration, playing music, balacing a checkbook, or oprerating a video game .
         • one of the most fascinating uses of computers is in field of robotics.
           • A robot is a versatile, computer machine that can be progammed to do different tasks.

2. The crookes tube around 1878, the english physicist william crookes designed a special type of vacuum tube.

   • This phenomenon, originally known as the edison effect, is now called thermionic emission.
     • edison bulb allowed current to freely flow in one direction but blocked ots movement in the other direction.
