computer performance

computer performance

1. clock speed

   • how?
     • improving the clock speed can make the computer/programs load/run faster
   • what?
     • how fast instructions are processed
     • measured in hertz (HZ) -one instruction per second
       • GHZ- 1,000,000,000 instructions per second
     • fetch-decode-execute cycle
   • why?
     • current processing is runing slowly
       • device is running slowly

2. cores

3. RAM

4. cache
