Presentation: Preliminary Diagnosis
- Statement of the Research
- Research Justification: Explains why the project is important and provides a clear rationale for conducting the study.
- Research Objectives: Indicate what the research intends to accomplish; must be directly linked to the problem, clear, and measurable.
- Research Questions & Hypothesis: Questions: Guide the study and determine necessary data (must be clear, specific, and answerable). Hypothesis: Offers a provisional answer/explanation to the research problem before data collection.
- Definition & Purpose: An initial analysis conducted before launching a full investigation to understand a situation or problem.
- Steps to Conduct: Observe the situation. Identify the problem. Collect relevant information. Analyze causes and consequences. Clearly define the core problem.
- Importance: Establishes a baseline understanding, prevents mistakes, and ensures the investigation starts correctly.
- Statement of the Research
Presentation: Formulation of Research Hypotheses
- Definition: A temporary/provisional answer or proposal to solve a research problem.
- Types of Hypotheses:Research Hypothesis ($H_1$): Main expected relationship or proposition.Null Hypothesis ($H_0$): States there is no significant effect or relationship.Alternative Hypothesis ($H_a$): Proposed alternative if $H_0$ is rejected.Statistical Hypothesis: Expresses relationships using quantitative/numerical data.
- Conclusion: Organizes, focuses, and guides the whole research process.
Presentation: Justification of Research
- Concept: Formal section demonstrating the strength, validity, relevance, and feasibility of an academic project.
- The Key Distinction: "Why?" (Origen y Necesidad): Examines the root cause or background need for the study. "What for?" (Utilidad y Propósito): Examines the practical application, utility, and goals of the study.
- Evaluation Criteria: Solves specific problems, offers practical implications, and proves social relevance/convenience.
Research Objectives and Questions
- Criteria for Research Objectives: Clear & Understandable: Easy language for any reader. Precise: Explicitly states what is being studied. Achievable/Realistic: Accomplishable with available resources and time.
- Criteria for Research Questions: Clear, Specific & Direct: Avoids confusion or ambiguity. Answerable: Resolvable using empirical/real data collected during research. Relevant: Yields meaningful insights that contribute to the field.
