1. Feasibility study

   • Personnel Feasibility
     • Expertise of staff
     • Will employees have the required expertise?
     • Will employees like the new working conditions?
   • Technical Feasibility
     • Hardware & Software
     • Will existing hardware cope?
     • Will existing data be compatible with new software?
     • Will perohperals need upgrading?
     • How long will it take to develop the new system?
   • Financial Feasibility
     • Costs involved/budget given
     • Will it be worth upgrading?
     • Is it affordable?
     • What are the added costs required on top of the software development?

2. Feasibility Report

   • This is written once the study has been completed
   • Financial cost-benefit analysis and a discussion of the personnel and technical issues will be considered
   • The organisation can then decide whether to go ahead after weighing up the costs and benefits
