CIRCLES

1. A ci a circle is a locus of a curve equidistant from a point.

2. The chord that passes through the centre of the circle is called the diameter.

3. The line segment joining the centre and any point on the circle is called a radius of the circle.

4. A piece of circle between two point is called an Arc.

   • Major arc.
   • Minor arc

5. The region between an Arc and the two radii joining the centre to the end points of the arc is called a sector.

6. The region between a chord and either of its Arc is called a segment of the circle.

   • Minor segment
