1. Igneous Rocks

   • Igneous rocks are formed from volcanic activity. Hot molten magma cooled and solidified, either on the surface or within the crust.
     • E.g: Granite or basalt.

2. Metamorphic Rocks

   • Metamorphic rocks are when great heat and/or great pressure is applied to a sedimentary or igneous rock and forms a new rock.
     • E.g: Marble or quartzite

3. Sedimentary Rocks

   • Sedimentary rocks are formed from dead sea creatures,eroded rocks dead plants which pile up for a long time and are compressed and cemented together.
     • E.g:Shales,Sandstone or Limestone
