DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HYPERTEXT,
HYPERMEDIA AND MULTIMEDIA
HYPERTEXT: Refers to the text displayed on a computer with references called hotlinks or hyperlinks to other text which the student can inmediatly acces, refers to links among textual
items, commonly activated by a mouse, trackball, finger, touch screen)
Example: In a language learning program click on a hypertext link to go to the dictionary definition.
HYPERMEDIA: Involves linking various media, such as images, sound, animation, video, graphics
Example: Links that view audio, the WWW World Wide Web
MULTIMEDIA: Refers to content that uses a combination such as animation, video, text, images, sound or interactivity content forms
Example: You tube videos, Prezi presentations
