1. Types of Group

   • Formal Group (determined by the organization and it has a direct purpose to achieve organization goals)
     • Command Group (group of people who report directly to manager in their group)
     • Task Group (group created to complete specific task)
   • Informal Group (not determined by organization and this group more focus on socialize and share the same interest)
     • Friendship Group (group that share the same characteristic and usually spending time together to do social activity)
     • Interest Group (group that has created to aim at achieving common interest)

2. Reasons For Joining Group

   • Security
   • Status
   • Self-Esteem
   • Affilation
   • Goal Achievement
   • Power and Control

3. Cohesiveness

   • Decrease a number of members in a group
   • Increase spending time together doing social activities
   • Rewarding a group, not only individual
   • Encourage all members with a group goals

   • Decision by minority
   • Decision by authority rule
   • Decision by consensus
   • Decision by lack of response
