   • efficent means of development
   • enables ease of deployment of cloud based servers

   • high implementation costs
   • problems with scalability

5. hypervisors

   • defn: layer that allows vm to run on hardware(host machine)
   • types:
     • bare-metal
       • retains control over hardware
       • no competency with os
       • consists of:hardware,hypervisor and vitual machine
     • hosted
       • runs native processes alongside VM's
       • comprises of:hardware,os,processor ,hypervisor and Vm

6. cloud

   • allows several machines to share instance of a particular resource
   • deployment strategies
