          1. Organisms adapt in their lifetime and pass their adaptations into their offspring.

              2. Darwin's theroy
                1. Natural selection
                  1. Change over a long time
                2. Accepting Darwin's ideas
                  1. Gradually accepted because:
                    1. People believed God made the earth and wanted to believe this
                      1. Other scientists weren't convinced
                        1. Little evidence
                        2. He didn't know about genes, these were discovered later
                          1. He had some examples such as finches
                          2. Natural selction
                            1. Individual organisms show large variation because there is differences in their genes
                              1. Organisms compete for:
                                1. Food
                                  1. Shelter
                                    1. Predators
