STEPS IN THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS

1. A. DETERMINE THE NEED FOR A DECISION

   • Analyze the problem or need that arises.

2. B. IDENTIFY DECISION CRITERIA

   • Observe the characteristics of the possible decisions.

3. C. ASSIGN WEIGHT TO CRITERIA

   • Give priority to certain aspects that are most important when making decisions.

4. D. DEVELOP ALL ALTERNATIVES

   • The person in charge should make a list of possible alternative solutions to solve a problem.

5. E. EVALUATE ALTERNATIVES

   • The evaluator must critically analyze the alternatives and compare them with each other to find the advantages and disadvantages of each.

6. F. SELECTING THE BEST ALTERNATIVE

   • This is the last step to make the best decision from the alternatives presented where the highest qualification to acquire and consume a product is considered.
