1. Shot Types

   • Close Up
     • Draws attention to a specific fascial expression
   • Medium Shot
     • Presents body language so that the audience will be able to tell the characters feelings
   • Long Shot
     • Shows the relationship between the character, or a group of characters, to a particular setting
   • Extreme Close Up
     • Used for dramatic effect
   • Establishing Shot
     • Shows a setting
   • Extreme Long Shot
     • Introduces a setting

2. Framing

   • Frame within a Frame
   • Tight Framing
   • Rule of Thirds
   • Nose Room

3. Camera Position

   • High Angle
     • Makes a character seem inferior
   • Low Angle
     • Makes a character seem superior
   • Eye Level
   • Point Of View Shot (P.O.V Shot)
     • We are able to see what the character sees making us feel more attached to the character because we see whar they see
   • Over Shoulder Shot (O.S.S)
     • Used in conversations

4. Camera movement

   • The Tracking Shot
     • Follows the action
   • The Panning Shot
     • Tripod stays still as the camera moves 180/360 degrees
   • The Crane Shot
     • Over head shot
   • Car-Mounted Shot
     • Follows action
   • Handheld Shot
     • Hard to focus, gives a sense of urgancy
   • Zoom
     • Camera stays still, just the lens moves
   • Aerial Shot
     • Shot is usually muted due to being recorded on a loud helicopter
   • Tilt
     • Used to reveal somthing
