1. In computers, a utility is a program that provides additional capabilities to the provided operating system. In some usages, a utility is a special and nonessential part of the operating system. it optimizes your computer so it makes you computer run at its best speed it analyses your computer and configures your computer to make your computer work at its best

2. Firewalls

   • A firewall is a system designed to prevent unauthorized access to or from a private network. Firewalls can be implemented in both hardware and software, or a combination of both
   • there are different types of firewalls: Screened subnet firewalls, Choke-gate firewalls, Packet only firewalls and dual homed firewalls.

3. Defragmenting

   • to reorganize files on (a disk) so that the parts of each file are stored in contiguous sectors on the disk, thereby improving computer performance and maximizing disk space

4. Antivirus software

   • Virus protection software is designed to prevent viruses, worms and Trojan horses from getting onto a computer as well as remove any malicious software code that has already infected a computer. Most virus protection utilities now bundle anti-spyware and anti-malware capabilities to go along with anti-virus protection. Internet security suites go a step further by including additional capabilities like anti-spam, anti-phishing, firewall, file protection and PC optimization.
