   • This is responsible for monitoring and co-ordinating the two slave systems. It has a limited capacity.

         • Concerned with speech production.
       • Phonological loop (Inner ear)
         • Concerned with speech perception.
     • The visuo-spatial sketch pad
       • Inner Eye, inner scribe+ visual cache
         • Helps to rehearse visual and spatial information, it uses colour, shape and size.
