Super Smash Bros Algorithm

1. Character Choices

   • Kirby
     • Kirby is one of the smallest fighters in the game, as well as one of the lightest due to his floaty nature. This seemingly makes him fit within the Glass Cannon archetype, as he can excel at combos and possesses strong aerials, but runs the risk of being easy to launch.
     • Positives
       • Kirby is one of the lightest characters in the game which means he can excel at combos and possesses strong aerials. He is also very cute.
     • Negatives
       • Because he is light, he runs the risk of being easy to launch
   • Pichu
     • Positives
       • Pichu has some high damage special moves
     • Negatives
       • Pichu still doesn't have as many high damage moves as Kirby
   • Yoshi
     • Positives
       • Yoshi has a high damage Final Smash - Stampede
     • Negatives
       • He does not have many high damage moves compared to Kirby

2. Chosen Character Moves - Kirby

   • Side Special Move: Hammer Flip
     • Kirby's side move is a Hammer. Kirby gets his hammer and swings it round hitting anyone in its way. On the ground, Kirby will take one horizontal spin that can cause decent damage and knockback to the opponent. This can be charged in order to do further damage.
   • Standard Special Move: Inhale
     • Kirby's signature move is inhaling the enemy. He creates a powerful vacuum which sucks in any character nearby. Kirby can move with the character in its mouth, but when down is pressed, you will obtain traits of the character you just inhaled. This can be removed by taunting.
   • Final Smash: Ultra Sword
     • Kirby's Final Smash is Ultra Sword.. This has Kirby take out a giant sword and take a swipe. If the swipe connects with anyone, then he will start slashing several times before one final slash to knock an opponent backwards.
   • Down Special Move: Stone
     • Turns Kirby into a stone. To cause damage, turn into a Stone while in mid-air in order to crush enemies from above. There are numerous stone forms Kirby can take, all of which do the same damage.
   • Up Special Move: Final Cutter
     • Kirby's up special is Final cutter. This move will have Kirby grab a sword and fly upwards, before falling down with a giant slice. This will damage any opponent that it hits in the process.

3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

   • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a popular Nintendo fighting game series where characters from different franchises engage in multiplayer battles, aiming to knock opponents off the screen by increasing their damage and launching them.

4. Prescribed Criteria

   • 1. Develop an Algorithm using Pseudocode conventions.
     • Keywords must be bold and capitalised
     • Indentation must be used to show structure
     • Algorithm must be valid
   • 2. Develop an ultimate high damage finishing offensive strategy to eliminate the opponent
     • Use high damage moves
     • Focus only on offensive moves
     • Finish with a high damage move
   • 3. Use at least five different attack moves (Side Special Move, Final Smash, Down Special Move, etc)
     • Use 5 of the described moves explained in the mind map

6. Algorithm Constructs

   • Sequence
     • A set of instructions that are processed one after the other.
   • Assignment
     • Assignment is when we store the value of an expression in a variable
   • Selection
     • A selection statement uses a condition to select which line of the program will be used next
   • Condition
     • A condition checks whether the statement is true or false
   • Iteration
     • Iteration is also called repetition and is used when something is repeated over and over again, so the program goes round in a loop
