1. Back end

   • API
     • Json
       • provides the data to the data application that is organised into keyvalue pairs
     • Requests
       • The application will need to request json files from the API to be able to actually retrieve and use the information
       • Requests will be built into the code
   • algorthims
     • search
       • This will be mostly done by python, It will be the algorthim that filters through Json files using the search prompt provided by the user
       • The search algorthim will also retreive the actual Json files before filtering them
       • Done using python
     • displays
       • After information has been filtered by the search algorthim the display algorithim will reorganise data so it can be displayed in table format in the IU
       • This will be done using python and Jinjar
   • code
     • html
       • HTML is the structure of the website when i comes to code, it contains the core components of the website
     • Jinjar
       • jinjar is the language that lets you connect python code with Html code so that different displays can be achieved
     • css
       • Css or cascade stylesheets makes up the majority of the UI can controls how the webiste will look to the user
     • python
       • Python is used to code the processes information and then output needed information for the website
       • python is used for the search algorithm, display page, or even checking login

2. Front end

         • HTML is the structure of the website when i comes to code, it contains the core components of the website

         • Css or cascade stylesheets makes up the majority of the UI can controls how the webiste will look to the user

       • UI is important it it will be the component that the user interacts with to actuall use the data application
       • A bad UI may result in the website being unusable, hard to use, or just no cater to the needs of our users
     • considerations
       • to meet the needs of the criteria the website must display the information in table format
       • The user must be able to interact with the website to input the search prompt so that the search algorthim works
   • user input
     • User input will most likely be the search bar that the user uses to search through the API

3. Perscribed criteria

   • PC1
     • The data must be in table form, meaning that columns and rows are clearly marked by headings
   • PC2
     • The code should aim to be as efficient as possible and also be easily divided into different sections
   • PC3
     • The algorithm must’ve clearly retrieved data from a json file of the starwars api. The algorithm must have reformatted the data different from its raw form
   • PC4
     • Use an api and change the raw data from the api into a different form
   • SPC
     • Must find the relevant character by just inputting the name.
