SSB Algorithm

1. Algorithm Construct

   • Each step must have clear instructions
   • Step by step instructions
   • Used to solve complications or accomplish a task
   • To have an effective algorithm it must include a sequence, assignment, selection, condition, and an iteration
   • Construct
     • Sequence is a step by step instructions
       • Example: START, INPUT select character, OUTPUT play the game, STOP
     • Assignment means saving a value into a variable
       • Like for example in algebra when the letter A is a value, but which now holds a variable
     • Selections are used in programming and user interfaces; it involves making choices based on certain types of conditions
       • Example: IF enemy is above THEN, OUTPUT attack with final_cutter
     • A condition can refer to the state of something in a program that is true or false, when evaluating a variable's condition, a programmer might use a conditional statement
       • Example: Did Kirby attack? If yes → show the message. If no → do another move.
     • Iteration means a repetition of a process or set of instructions until a specific condition is met
       • Example: START, FOR 9 steps, INPUT jump up and forward, ENDFOR, END

2. Pseudocode

   • Meaning fake code
   • It is actually giving instructions
     • It is quite organized and efficient to use
   • A type of algorithm
   • Made for humans to understand it
     • Has a logical structure

3. Nintendo Switch

   • Uses seperate controllers 'joy cons'
   • Portable
   • Multiplayer game
   • Hybrid design
   • Three different types of modes to use, while playing
     • 1) TV mode
     • 2) Tabletop mode
     • 3) Handheld mode

4. Super Smash Bros Game

   • You have to defeat other players
   • Be the last one standing to win
   • Using your characters ability you have to attack others and defend yourself
   • Lots of different maps
     • In some maps you also have to try to avoid the obstacles

5. Kirby

   • Can replicate other players abilities
   • Cheerful person
   • Shaped like in a ball
   • Large adorable, cute eyes

6. Prescribed Citera

   • 1. Develop an Algorithm using Pseudocode conventions
   • 2. Develop an ultimate high damage finishing offensive strategy to eliminate the opponent
     • Use at least five different attack moves (Side Special Move, Final Smash, Down Special Move, etc)
