Reactions of Acids
  1. whenever acids react with anything, a salt is always formed
    1. salt's name: name of metal, variation of the acid that reacted to make it
      1. acid + metal -> salt + hydrogen (gas)
        1. H+ + OH- → H2O
          1. hydrogen from the acid and hydroxide ion from the alkali form to make carbon dioxide
          2. acid + alkali -> salt + water
