Labelling

1. British standards institution / kitemark

   • This means the product has been safety assessed by the british standards

2. CE mark

   • This means the product has been checked against the EU standards

3. Manufacturers must put certain information on packaging by law

4. Its the manufacturers responsibility to make sure that information on the label is accurate

5. If the labelling is wrong or misleading, the manufacturers could be breaking laws or regulations, eg. the consumer protection from unfair trading regulations
