1. It is a package that gives us certain facilities for building graphical user interfaces Each component corresponds to a class in Java, for this reason when we develop and we want to link one of these items simply instantiate the class we need, that is, if we want a text area must create an object of the JTextArea class

2. Contenedores.- a container is the tapestry where we paint our graphics components, there are major containers, these include

   • JFrame – Is the Application Window , the main container
   • JDialog – A window dialog window type , can also be a parent container
   • JPanel – Allows the creation of independent panels where store other components.
   • JScrollPane – It allows linking scrollbars in a container
   • JSplitPane – allows the creation of a container divided into two sections
   • JTabbedPane – Allows creation of tabs, each tab represents a separate container
   • JDesktopPane – It allows you to create windows within a main window
   • JToolBar –Enter a toolbar

3. Text components . They are those that allow us to process text strings, either as input or output information

   • JTextField –Enter a simple text field
   • JFormattedTextField – Enter a text field format , ( if we define that receives only numbers not allow letter...)
   • JPasswordField – Text field hides entered characters
   • JTextArea – Lets you link a text area where the user entered information or simply to present text strings
   • JEditorPane – It allows you to link an area of ​​text formatting properties
   • JTextPane – Similar to above , allowing other formatting options , colors , icons and more.

4. Menus components . These components for linking menu options in our windows, type main menu, for example the known Home , File, Edit etc

   • JMenuBar – Lets you link a menu bar
   • JMenu– Buttons allows link or links that when pressed display a main menu.
   • JMenuItem –Button or option that is in a menu.
   • JCheckBoxMenuItem– Menu item as checkbox options
   • JRadioButtonMenuItem– Menu item and select button
   • JPopupMenu– Menu Options emerging

5. Complex components These components are a little more advanced functions meet more focused on specific and complex processes , such as get lots of information from a database, working with nodes , colors and others

   • JTable – It lets you link a data table with their respective rows and columns
   • JTree - Load a tree where some visual hierarchy is established , type directory
   • JList – You can load a list of items , depending on the properties can be multiple-choice list
   • JFileChooser – It is a component that allows the search and selection of files among others
   • JColorChooser: Component that allows load ONU panel Color Picker
   • JOptionPane – It is not something complex but a separate component that can display a custom dialog box
