1. Text

   • A string of character/words

2. Number

   • Whole/a decimal number

3. Date

   • DOB

4. Time

   • e.g. 16:50

5. Graphics

   • Use a container data type in filemaker pro e.g. photograph

6. Calculation

   • Calculations can be performed on fields using a formula

7. Link

   • A web link FileMaker does not use link data type

8. Boolean

   • Yes or no / True or False questions (so you need to create text filed and validate with 2 options

9. Key Field

   • Unique field that stores the key for each record e.g. student ID
