1. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE MODEL

   • Requirements-gathering
     • list of functions that the system will perform. The emphasis is on the objectives of the system, that the system will achieve those objectives.
   • Design
     • In essence, during the desing phase , designers try to turn the dreams of managers and users in reality.
   • Implementation
     • In the implementation phase, the results of the design phase are translated into code programs
   • Testing
     • In the testing phase, the results of the implementation phase are carried out through tests to verify that it works and that it meets the objectives of the requirements phase.

2. V-SHAPED LIFE CYCLE MODEL

   • Advantages of the V-Shaped model
     • Like the Waterfall model, the V-shaped model is relatively simple and easy to use. Specific goals are defined for each phase.
   • Disadvantages of the V-Shaped model
     • the V-shaped model runs the risk of time and energy in the absence of careful planning.

3. WATERFALL LIFE CYCLE MODE L

   • Advantages of the Waterfall model
     • This model can be easy to implement and manage because each phase has a purpose specific, and development occurs in only one phase at a time.
   • Disadvantages of the Waterfall model
     • If the requirements change or are added, the project it must start over from the beginning.

4. SPIRAL LIFE CYCLE MODEL

   • Advantages of the Spiral model
     • At its core, the spiral model is based on previous software development models, and borrowing of cascade and incremental models.
   • Disadvantages of the Spiral model
     • The spiral model is suitable for use in medium-scale and non-mission-critical projects.

5. INCREMENTAL LIFE CYCLE MODEL

   • Advantages of the Incremental model
     • Unlike the cascade and V-shaped models, the incremental model generates prototype early in the development process.
   • Disadvantages of the Incremental model
     • The incremental model is less risky than cascade or V-shaped models, but may be inappropriate for large, long-term projects.
