1. What's transistor?์

   • A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals and electrical power.
     • Emitter
       • collects the current
     • Base
       • region between emitter and collector
     • Collector
       • collects the current

2. Types

   • NPN
     • The sequencce of doped regions in a npn transistor is n-region collector, p- region base, n-region emitter
       •  Holes - Positively-charged carriers of current. Doping - Addition of impurities into a semiconductor to form regions rich in electrons or holes - either elector donors(like phosphorus) or electron acceptors (like boron) are added into the semiconductors 
   • PNP
     • The sequence of doped regions in a pnp transisitor is P-region collector,N-region base,P-region emitter

3. How's transistor work

   • Amplifier
     • When it works as an amplifier, it takes in a tiny electric current and produces a much bigger electric current
   • switches
     • Transistors can also work as switches. A tiny electric current flowing through one part of a transistor can make a much bigger current flow through another part of it. .

4. Adventages

   • small size and light
   • produce less heat than vacuum tubes
   • Durable: metallic construction
