1. Different elements have a different number of neutrons

   • Different istopes of the same element have the same nuclear charge/ same number of protons and neutrons

2. When electromagnetic radation is absorbed the distance between the nucleus and an electron increases

3. Proton: have a positive charge (+1) and has a mass of 1mu

4. Neutron: have a neutral charge (0) and has a mass of 1mu

5. Electron: has a negative charge (-1) and has a mass of 1/2000mu (very small)
