1. Flat Databases

   • One table that includes a lot of information
   • Disadvantages
     • Can make mistakes easily
     • Have to change all information manually

2. Relational Databases

   • More than one table linked together
   • Only have to change information once
   • Simple design
   • Different levels of access can be given
   • Features
     • Information separated into discrete entities
     • Based on the real world
     • Described as a series of Fields
     • Describes the structure of entities
     • They are connected by a series of Relationships
     • Built using common fields

3. Local Databases

   • One person can use it
   • Only one person's login will work

4. Network Databases

   • About employees
   • More than one person's login will work on the same computer

5. Online Databases

   • Why are they used?
     • People would use them with companies which they want to be accessible from anywhere
     • To make sure that everything is updated
