1. Harware

   • Physical Device which contain, electrical, mechanical and electronic components. It stores and runs the software
   • Input, Storage, processing, control, output devices
   • CD-ROM, Monitor, Printer, Video card, Scanners, Routers, Modems
   • Hardware starts functioning once software is loaded
     • Software is installed on hardware
   • Failure is random, and can be mechanical or electrical
   • Hardware wears out over time

2. Software

   • Collection of instructions that enables a user to interact with the computer. Software is a program that enables a computer to perform a specific task.
   • System software Programming software Application software
   • Adobe Acrobat, Windows, IOS, Office, Chrome
   • Is systematic and breaks applications
   • Bugs may be discovered as time passes.

3. Components that allow the data and instructions enter the computer.

   • The keyboard. Has different functions: numbers, arrows, start, end, page up, page down
   • A pointer, allow the control of the screen.
   • Biometric devices read a characteristic of a person to compare it with a previously saved code, identify it, and grant access to the system.
   • Cameras capture images electronically, they digitalize them, compress them and store them.
   • Audio input to record voice to be saved on a disk file
