About science study stool;;;;

1. what is physics?

   • Nature
     • forces,motion,mass,matter,energy,heat
   • Math in Phyiscs
     • specific data
       • Accuracy
     • Shows easy way to know relationships between complicated concept
   • base of chemistry and biology

2. Facts ,Hypotheses, Theories,Laws

   • fact
     • A fact is a basic statement verifiable observation
       • Ex: 20% of Earth's oxygen is produced by the Amazon forest
   • Hypotheses
     • A hypothesis is a suggested solution based on evidence that can predict the outcome
       • Ex: If you drop a rock and a paper on the top of the building, the rock will hit the ground faster because it is heavier than the paper.
   • Theories
     • Theory tries to provide the most logical explanation about why things happen
       • Ex: Evolution theory by Charles Darwin
   • law
     • Ex: Law is a statement based on repeated experiment
       • Newton's law of gravity

3. The scientific process

   • How science works and impacts society
     • Scientific method
   • 1. Define a problem or ask a question.
     • 2.write a hypothesis
       • 3. plan experiment
         • 4. Do experiment, gather data
           • 5. Analyze data
             • 6. Draw conclusion (check hypothesis)
   • Variables
     • Factor that exists in different amounts or types
       • Independent variable
         • The factor that changes
       • dependent variable
         • change in response
       • Controls
         • what happens if I.V has no impact
       • Constant
         • Factors that are the same in All trials

4. The scientific checklist

   • Focus on explaining our everyday world
   • use testable ideas
   • Relies on Evidence
   • Involves the Scientific Community
   • Leads to future research

5. Science and Religion

   • Science
     • Concerns the natural world
   • Religion
     • Concerns both the natural and supernatural
   • Different perspective. Needs to understand each other and not argue over it
