     • anti virus software, security functions built in, software that saves file automatically

4. Data Protection Act

   • protects data subjects from the misuse of personal data. have the right to know what data is being held about them, have errors corrected, complain to data protection commisoner about any abuse of the act

5. Computer Misuse Act

   • prevents unauthorised access to computer material, unauthorised access with intent to commit crime and unauthorised modification of computer material (virus)

6. Copyright, designs and patents act

   • gives creator control over the ways in which their material may be used. prevents illegal copying
