MY DESIGN PROJECT

1. IDEA 1 - UV BLACKLIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT

   • Photograph a model under UV blacklight using glow in the dark paint and makeup (left)
   • Location: Dark area, (black tiled bathroom, black cloth) for efficent shooting in condition
   • Take photos during the night
   • Add text/editing techniques to enhance functionality
   • Promotes creativity due to unique photography style

2. IDEA 2- PHOTOGRAPHY PRODOMINATLEY MAKEUP

   • Use makeup to express the feelings of someone negativley affected by beauty standards
   • Convey how women feel as if they have to wear makeup to look beautiful
   • Vibrant colours or bland colours of makeup needed in order to shoot the photos

3. IDEA 3 - SHORT FILM ON BEAUTY STANDARDS

   • POV of a teenagers normal day being exposed to the beauty standards according to the media
   • Shoot in house and in neighbourhood, use POV shots, from back etc
   • Props include magazines, Tv commerical, billboards, any form of advertising that subjects womens beauty standards
   • Get across general message that women need a break and that they are beautiful no matter what they look like.

4. IDEA 4 - BEAUTY STANDARDS AROUND THE WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY

   • Series of photos each depicting the beauty standard in a handful of countries
   • Several models required (approx 6)
   • Hair and makeup typical to the country they belong to
   • Give facts about each standard according to country
   • Each model resembling the beauty standard of the country they are representing
   • May be difficult to set up, but could be very successful in fulfilling the need
