PARALLEL LINES
DEFINITION : Two lines which will never intersect each other and lie in the same plane are called parallel lines.
If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then
- Pairs of corresponding angles are equal
- Co-interior angles are supplementary
- Pairs of alternate (interior & exterior) angles are equal
Lines perpendicular to the same line are parallel to each other
Division of a line segment into 'n' equal parts can be done by constructing parallel lines
Lines parallel to the same line are parallel to each other
A line segment can be divided internally in a given ratio by constructing parallel lines
