Soil Improvement

1. Consist in

   • Modify one or several characteristics of the soil from its natural condition.

2. It develops

   • Temporarily
     • To allow the construction of a work
   • Permanently
     • Addresses the proper behavior and/or mechanical stability of a work.

3. Cement-Floor

   • It allows
     • Reduce the IP and increase the contraction limit.
     • Improve strength and increase resilient modulus
     • Reduce volumetric change.
   • Cement-stabilized subgrade soils and properties are evaluated by testing for:
     • Durability
       • Weight loss in wet-dry and freeze-thaw tests. (ASTM D560, ASTM D559)
     • Resistance
       • Simple unconfined compression test. (ASTM D1633)
