1. The atom is the smallest unit of matter that holds the properties of an element.

   • Subatomic Particles
     • Protons (+)
       • The positively charged subatomic particle located in the atomic nucleus.
         • Atomic number
           • Helps to locate the number of protons in an atom.
     • Electrons (-)
       • The smallest subatomic particle that orbit the nucleus, charged in a negatively way.
         • Electron cloud
           • The orbit that helps the electron to move around the nucleus
     • Neutrons
       • Locate in the nucleus, unlike the protons or electrons, this are the only subatomic particles that dosen't have any charge
