1. Distance-Time graphs

   • Gradient of the line represents objects speeed
   • Steeper the line, faster the object
   • Speed=Distance/time
   • The speed of an object is distance in 1s

2. Velocity and acceleration

   • Velocity is speed in a given direction
   • If an object changes speed it changes velocity
   • Acceleration=final velocity-initial velocity/time
     • A=v-u        t
     • If the value is negative they are decelerating

3. Velocity-time graph

   • The gradient represents acceleration
     • If line is negative object is decelerating
   • If the line is horizontal, acceleration=0 so steady speed
   • The area under the line is distance travelled

4. Using Graphs

   • Gradient on distance-time graph=speed
   • Gradient on velocity-time graph=acceleration
   • Distance travele= area under velocity-time graph
