   • Test a real application

       • Mesobenchmarks
         • It is a test designed measure the performance of a part average of an application.For example:Test of a module
   • Understand application performance
     • It has the following factors
       • Elapsed time
         • Time needed to do a task
       • Throughput measurements
         • Amount of work done in a given period
       • Response time
         • Time elapsed between sending the request and receiving the response
   • Understand Variability
     • It has different response times for each run of program with the same data set
     • You must run the tests several times and average the results
   • Test Early
     • You must automate everything
       • The tests must be programmed, and must allow the analysis of results and elaboration of report
       • Run on the Target System
       • It has to measure the characteristics of hardware y software
