• A map can play an important role in relating the history to the actual land, and knowing how to draw a map can be useful for Many purposes , like showing distances between places, provide directions, o enhance the understanding of a project. A really important part of the map is the scale. First you need to figure out what information you want to include in your map. The smaller the area shown, the larger the scale of the map will be. Your map also has to have a compass on the map to help the person reading the map help understand the direction o the map. You will also need to label the places, streets, land masses, countries, capitals, and cities. Symbols can also be added to you map to make it more easily understood. You can use a dollar sign to point out where banks are in the city or you can use symbols to see where there’s oil refineries. Distance also plays an important role for you map. You will include a sale at the bottom right of your map that can show what a mile is in a 12 inch ruler. Another important part is to be accurate with your information by making an appropriate scale, and give correct labels.
