• urbanisation: the rise in proportion of people living in towns and cities compared to rural areas
• urban areas have natural increase, where the birth rate is high and the death rate is low.

Causes of Urbanisation

• pull:
• better healthcare and education

• job opportunities

• better quality of life

Land use
