- usually 2 alternate hypothesis so to a level it is set at two tailed - 102 independent group t test- are the 2 samples different from each other
- 112 dependent groups t testare 2 measures of the same sample different from each other

- analyze whether or not the means if several groups are equal, and therefore generalizes the t test to more than 2 groups - 13One way ANOVA- with 2 groups will be the same as 2 independent group t test
- use ANOVA when there is more than 2 groups - 14Repeated measures ANOVA- analysis when a participant is measured on two or more occasions
- if there are only 2 measures for each participant: 2 dependent group t test
