- 1The wavelength of a wave is the distance over which the wave's shape repeats itselfIt is represented by the symbol λ
- 2An example of this is shown with the sine wave

f is the frequency - 6The amplitude of a wave is the change over a periodPeak-to-peak amplitude is measured from the trough to the crest of the wave
- 7The amplitude effects the loudness of the tone of the soundThe bigger the amplitude, the louder the sound
- 8The amplitude is not always constant with sound wavesIt can vary with time / position
