My holiday – Past simple

In the holidays I [blank_start]went[blank_end] to London with my family. There [blank_start]were[blank_end] my parents and my sister and there [blank_start]was[blank_end] I. We [blank_start]arrived[blank_end] on Monday and we [blank_start]stayed[blank_end] for six days. My aunt, who lives in London, [blank_start]met[blank_end] us at the airport. She [blank_start]drove[blank_end] us to her house in her car and then we [blank_start]had[blank_end] a lovely dinner. The next few days my aunt [blank_start]showed[blank_end] us the sights of London. We [blank_start]saw[blank_end] Tower Bridge and Big Ben. I [blank_start]liked[blank_end] Madame Tussaud's wax museum best. Friday evening she [blank_start]took[blank_end] my sister and me to the cinema, because my mum and dad [blank_start]wanted[blank_end] an evening for themselves – that was fun. On Sunday we had to leave again. My aunt and took us to the airport and we [blank_start]said[blank_end] goodbye to her. I'm very sorry that we [blank_start]couldn't[blank_end] stay any longer.
