Damage can occur through stroke, tumour or developmental problems (it just did not grow correctly) Some areas of damage may lead to the Amygdala reacting in an [blank_start]overly[blank_end] fearful way, other damage may lead to the Amygdala not reacting to fear at all. In overtly aggressive responses, it is thought that the Amygdala [blank_start]misinterprets[blank_end] information from the senses and/or cortex and responds incorrectly with overly aggressive behaviour.- Afear
