Slide 2

    Mise-En-Scene
The scene is set in the child's bedroom (Andy) whilst he plays with his toys (the main characters). We get a glimpse of all the main characters (the toys, Andy and his sister), especially Woody, the Main Character. We see that Andy is playing a form of role play game with his toys showing the imagination of children. In the area he is playing in, the toys are cornered in in a town that has been created, with a prison, being threatened by a toy (Mr Potato Head). Andy presents the Body Language of the toys as being threatened by this 'Powerful' figure.

Slide 3

    Sound
Diegetic - We hear Andy commentating over what is happening with the toys, and the role play going on. This is something we expect to hear this as we are not aware of the Toys being able to speak at this point. We also hear the toys being thrown around making the typical noise of plastic being hit. Non - Diegetic- There is sound at the very beginning from the Walt Disney logo/ animation. The song 'You've Got A Friend In Me' plays through the background as Woody and Andy prance around the house. As the camera Pans around the box's/town we hear an orchestra playing in the background in a major key giving the impression of something bad. As Woody enters the scene the tone of the music suddenly changes to a higher more jolly pitch. This gives connotations of a hero.

Slide 4

    Characters
Main Characters- We know that Woody is the main character as he appears to be the good guy and is in the scene the longest. Andy also is a significant character as he also features in the opening scene longer than Woody. Also all of the toys who were being cornered are main characters (including Mr Potato Head)Other Characters - We are given a glimpse of the Baby who is Andy's sister, as well as some other toys who are lurking in the background (sheep)
