    Pavlov: Classical Conditioning
Pavlov's studies are based on the idea that some things dog do they don't need to learn. E.g. dogs don't learn to salivate when they see food. This is known as an unconditioned response. Pavlov showed the existence of the unconditional response by presenting a dog with food and measuring the salivary secretions. classical conditioning:Stimulus: an event that causes a responseResponse: an action made because a stimulus is detected Inate: instinctive/inborn Conditioned: learned
