Production is small and is intended for the local market.* Industrial fishing: uses large factory ships with modern technology and a great deal of labour. Production is abundant, intended for sale on the domestic or international market.Depending on the distance from the coast:*Costal fishing: When fishermen go out and return each day.*Offshore fishing: when ships tipically remain out at sea for days.*Deep sea or high-sea fishing: far from the coast, expeditions last week or even months.The areas of the sea in which fish are abundant are called fishing grounds or banks.
