Separating rock salt--PRACTICAL

Separating rock salt with filtration & crystalisation

Grind the mixture, to male sure the salt crystals are small​​​​​​

so they will dissolve easily

Evaporate the water from the solution, leaving the salt and letting it crystalise

Filter the mixture. Filter paper will collect all the sand pieces, the salt will pass through as part of the solution

Put the mixture in water and stir.
