   • A computer is a thing which can: input data, process data, output data and store data. A calculator, for example, has keys to input numbers, it does the calculation then outputs the result on it's screen. Some can store previous calculations

5. Von Neuman architexture

   • The Von Neumann Architexture is a type of computer layout which allowes a control unit to both a program to run and data be stored. An example of this is a domestic desktop PC. This meant that computers couldn't be multi-purpose.
